Fort Bragg Hub ("we", "the app") is a community platform for Fort Bragg, California residents. This page explains what information we collect, how it's used, and your choices.
When you create an account, we collect your display name, username, email address, and password. You may optionally add a profile photo, banner image, and bio.
When you use the app, we store the content you create: articles, updates, comments, direct and group messages, marketplace listings, volunteer posts, and lost & found posts, including any photos you upload with them.
We do not collect precise device location. Any location information (such as where an item was lost or found, or a volunteer meeting spot) is text you choose to type in yourself.
Your information is used solely to operate the app: displaying your posts and profile to other residents, delivering messages and notifications, and enabling features like the community marketplace and volunteer sign-ups. We do not sell your information to third parties or use it for advertising.
The app includes an internal virtual currency ("coins") earned through participation. Coins have no real-world cash value and cannot be purchased or exchanged for real money. Marketplace items listed for cash are arranged directly between residents — we do not process real payments or store payment card information.
The app is hosted on Cloudflare. QR codes for marketplace purchases are generated using a third-party QR code image service (api.qrserver.com), which receives only the item's purchase link — no personal information.
Residents can report content or users they believe violate our Community Guidelines. Reports are reviewed by app administrators, who may remove content or suspend accounts found to be in violation.
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. To request deletion of your account and associated data, contact the app administrator through the app's messaging system or at the contact listed in the app.
This app is intended for general audiences and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
Questions about this policy can be directed to the app administrator through the in-app messaging system.
